I had been working on a series that involved capturing my favorite spots in my native town of Pasadena, without looking like a typical tourist guide. I shot black and white film (Ilford SFX 200) and enlarged and printed each frame in a black and white darkroom. What I love about them is that they have a high contrast and symmetrical quality that pulls it all together into one collective series.
Christine and Pam had an art showing for me last Sunday, which included a jewelry designer selling really beautiful handmade and vintage pieces, along with a clothing designer showing "sensible chic" women's clothing. The evening was extremely special to me - family, friends and strangers all showed up to support and I can't express how grateful I am to everyone. What a fun night!!
(A big thank you to PM for helping me hang everything on the wall. I would have lost my mind had I attempted it alone)

If you've never been to Little Flower head over and try their pumpkin bread pudding - WOW, it's delectable & the homemade sea salt caramels are addicting. (1422 W. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA).
